Deconstructed iron back chair

A lovely deconstructed French Napoleon III iron back armchair  with a beautiful shaped design.

Black turned front legs with it’s original casters.

The traditional spring seat has been reupholstered in a French ticking fabric purchased in France.

Dating  back to  between 1852 and 1870, the newly exposed hand forged  back rest  would have been

originally  upholstered.

The seat height of these antique chairs is low as they were used as nursing chairs.

This chair has a  modern rustic look and could fit anywhere in a home.
